OWSA is looking for designs for the 2026 limited edition shirt. If you have a creative streak, and an idea for a shirt, we'd love to see it! We'll accept submissions until January 15 and post them for members to vote for their favorite. The winning design will be placed on shirts for sale in our online store!
Last call for the 2025 design…place your order by December 31 before its gone!
Shirt Art Guidelines:
- Max Print Area: 12 x 16 (size will be reduced slightly for XS/S/M sizes).
- Colors: Can use full color but keep in mind art may be on dark or light colored shirts. The Fundraising/Marketing Director will determine final shirt color options based on design.
- Text: Include Oregon Women's Sailing Association 2026 somewhere in the design. If you don't have access to fonts, we can add that.
- File Format: PNG or JPG. Can also send vector AI or EPS to be converted to PNG or JPG.
- Resolution: Must be AT LEAST 150 dpi (300 dpi is best).
- You may be asked to modify the design to meet printing specifications.
- Send questions, request a template, or submit art to marketing@owsa.net.
Tips for best results from our print-on-demand provider:
- Avoid semi-transparent designs Semi-transparent graphics (or elements with lowered opacity) don't translate well in DTG printing. We advise using solid colors or simulating semi-transparency by halftoning (for more information, see our video tutorial).
- Create designs with the necessary DPI Simply typing in a new resolution value into the file won't result in a higher resolution print. If your graphic's resolution is too low, the best solution is to recreate it.
- Use transparency to your advantage Black ink will appear gray on black garments because of the white underbase used during printing. Leave these areas fully transparent when designing for black garments.
- Avoid borders We advise against using graphics with perfect borders since the print can warp slightly when the garment is being pulled off the pallet.
