Sailing is on our Horizon, but we are still not sure how far away the Horizon is........it is weird not to be sailing in May, but we are paying close attention as the Governor phases out the Stay at Home orders. Special thanks to the OWSA Board for working through the cancellations, safety requirements and scheduling changes during these uncertain times. I appreciate our volunteers creativity identifying how we can stay connected and prepare for

Thank you to our OWSA Community Skippers who graciously share their time, knowledge, boats and passion for sailing! Many of our Community Skippers have taken ladies out sailing for over a decade and we appreciate and value all of our Community Skippers feedback on how we can achieve our program goals safely. We have tried to envision a way to keep the 2020 Ranger 20 Nationals in Portland July 30 - Aug 2, 2020, but given the extended State of Emergency from Governor Brown, the extended Shelter-In-Place from Governor Inslee, and the continued closure of the Canadian border, we do not think it is in anyones best interest to believe our region will be open and safe to host a Ranger 20 Nationals by this

It is with gratitude that we acknowledge Carisa Bohus for her outstanding contributions to OWSA. She not only spent countless hours honing the new WNS allocation system in 2018, but she went above and beyond as our WNS Chair for several years and handed off the baton this year. As a part of WNS, she created Saturday Sails, Full Moon Sails and last year created the LOL - Labor of Love service project. She has
