Sailing is an Olympic sport! Summer games feature many water-based activities, from rowing on individual, two-person, four-person and eight-person boats; to canoeing and sailing; swimming; and water polo. Sailing events include windsurfing, kite sailing, dingy sailing, skiffs, and multihull sailing. These sailing events are scheduled from July 16-27, 2028.
Time volunteering to help with these events offers another way to help promote and support these athletes. Volunteer roles during the games include wayfinding support, ticket collection, ushering at seating areas, and athlete support. Those 18 and older can volunteer for a little as a single shift according to your availability.
World-class events require a great amount of early planning. The LA28 Organizing Committee is looking for volunteers now! You have plenty of time to contact friends and family in greater Los Angeles to find a place to stay while you help with this important volunteer work. You may register your interest now at https://la28.org/en/volunteer....
Meanwhile, the deadline to register for the second ticket drop of advance ticket sales is July 22nd . This ticket drop covers all Olympic summer sports. Heres the link: https://tickets.la28.org/ Generally each buyer is limited to 12 tickets. As the games approach, tickets will become harder and more expensive to purchase.
