Ready to set sail? Whether you're completely new to sailing or looking to build a solid foundation, the Sailing Basics Short Course is the perfect place to start! In this engaging and hands-on course, you'll explore:
- Essential sailing terminology
- Knots every sailor should know
- Points of sail & how to harness the power of wind
- Weather, tides, and their impact on sailing
- Boat maneuvering & basic navigation rules
- Introduction to nautical charts
Each student will receive the Sailing Made Easy textbook by American Sailing Association, along with the use of a model sailboat to help visualize key concepts.
