Ranger Nationals - Postponed (dates TBD)

We have tried to envision a way to keep the 2020 Ranger 20 Nationals in Portland July 30 - Aug 2, 2020, but given the extended State of Emergency from Governor Brown, the extended Shelter-In-Place from Governor Inslee, and the continued closure of the Canadian border, we do not think it is in anyones best interest to believe our region will be open and safe to host a Ranger 20 Nationals by this summer, let alone expect boat owners to register over a month in advance of the event given all of the uncertainty.
Nonetheless, we are still very determined to host the next Ranger 20 Nationals event here in Portland, OR…. So, effective immediately, wed like to announce the postponement of the 2020 Ranger 20 Nationals until Summer of 2021! Exact dates TBD, but it will likely be right in the same timeframe of late-July/early-Aug.
The Small Yacht Sailing Club of Oregon (SYSCO) has already agreed to continue their commitment to be the hosting Race Club for our event. Thank you deeply, SYSCO!
So, everyone can rejoice that 2021 will be the fantastic 2020 that we all deserve. Stay safe, and well see you on the water, eventually. For boats already registered and for corporate/club sponsors, we hope youll choose to rollover your funds and donations toward the 2021 event. However, well be in touch with everyone individually to make sure we are being respectful of everyones needs/wishes.
