  • Sailing in Portland Meetup

    If you are interested in this meetup, ask to join the group and learn about opportunities including a trip to the San Juans in the summer of 2020.

    In May, 2019, a couple of the group’s members organized a week-long sailing trip in the San Juans using chartered sailboats.  There was a group of 15 participants on two 42-foot sailboats.  This was an amazing opportunity, so check out this meetup group if you are interested.

  • United States Power Squadrons

    Check out the United States Power Squadron, or “America’s Boating Club”.  They offer boating classes and will come out and inspect your boat for safety for free.

  • American Sailing Journal

    The American Sailing Association (ASA) Journal has many great sailing resources and has a section on sailing opportunities, flotillas and charters for the adventurous.

  • US Sailing

    OWSA is a member of US Sailing and uses their curriculum for sailing classes.  There are many other great sailing resources on their website.  Check it out!

  • The Magenta Project

    What a cool organization focused on accelerating women to the top of sailing.  We heard about them at general meetings in 2019-what an inspirational organization.  What a great group!

  • NautiGirl

    If you are looking for sailing gear for women, check out this cool brand seen at the Seattle Boat Show!

  • Sail Like a Girl

    We love the Sail Like a Girl organization.  They came to speak at an OWSA General Meeting in 2018.  These ladies are serious competitors and inspire girls and ladies all over the world!

  • Racing Schedule on the Columbia River

    OCSA coordinates competitive sailing on the Columbia – visit their website if you haven’t already and learn more about the opportunities to crew.

  • Zephyr NW

    Captain Ron and Ashley have been members and long time friends to OWSA. Check out the amazing Zephyr-NW, Born as a pilot boat in 1972 in San Francisco turned into a into a oceanic research vessel after 30 years of service. Now a fully functional beautifully equipped recreational charter boat. If you are looking for an adventure, look no further!!
