Introducing SOLVEs Adopt-a-River Program

Look at the junk in that dink!  Your PYC education committee guy retrieved that dinghy load of floating crap from the Willamette River on a single trip from West Linn to PYC. Yes, that single 22-mile trip yielded three tires, several large blocks of Styrofoam, several pieces of lumber with large nails in them, and other assorted plastic bottles and miscellaneous trash. All this stuff went into the PYC dumpster; not into the Great Pacific Garbage Gyre, which is where it was headed.

PYCs 2nd education dock of the 2020 season will feature a State of the River update, along with an introduction to SOLVEs new Adopt-a-River program presented by Monica Kelly, SOLVEs Project Oregon Program Coordinator. We can ask questions of her, and perhaps find out how every Pacific Northwest boater can help improve the health of our home waterways and of our beautiful ocean.

This PYC Education Dock is open to the public. Admission is free. Please stay after for a no host bar/lunch.
