Come sail on Saturday, 1-27-18!

The format of the special sails has been pretty casual. Keep the day open until you hear from your skipper. Each skipper states their own sail plan. It has generally been in the 12-1pm range for a start time, and we get back in before dark, for a ballpark on timing. If the conditions look better for a different time, you have to be flexible. Check the wind conditions yourself and see how they differ from reality, it is a fun game.

The winds and water can be different in the winter season, and it is kind of cool to observe a changing river! I bring extra clothes/shoes to keep in the car, and an extra layer to take with me on-board. It is just so great to be out on there!

OWSA Members: Please pay your 2018 dues, and then sign up via the website owsa.net. Check the banner and you will see an easy way to sign up, or view the calendar and go from there. I need to know by Thursday afternoon. The custom is for crew to bring snacks to share, often after the sail and have the chance to debrief or ask questions. Keep the food simple for these winter sails!

Skippers! Send me an email by Thursday night with your sail plan if you know it, and the number of women you can comfortably sail with on Saturday.
